
Centre for Intercultural Studies and Dialogue (CISD) and Indo-German Centre for Applied Research and Exchange (INGAR) jointly organised a six day immersion program on ‘Exploring Business Landscapes in India’ for the MBA students of Hochschule Bremen University of Applied Sciences, Bremen, Germany from February 26 to March 3, 2018. The program was aimed at providing a snapshot of the Indian business environment and also acquainting the participants with the rich cultural fabric of India.
The program also aimed at offering participants with a constructive learning experience as it showcased the innovative paradigms adopted across business verticals and the journey of business ideas, from ideation to sustainability.
The academic sessions included talks by experts on the dynamics of business cultures in India, Operations Starategy in India, High Performance Organisations, Family business in India, the Corporate structures in India. This was also preceded by visits to Manipal Technologies Limited, Jayalaxmi Enterprise and Abharan Jewellers where they were able to actively interact with the managerial staff of the organization. A panel discussion with the POWER team along with the budding entrepreneurs of MAHE was organized at Manipal Incubation Center. The theme of the discussion was ‘Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Start-ups: Eco System in Manipal’.
To provide the participants with a glimpse of the local culture, we planned a visit to the Yakshagana Kendra, where they were able to see a small performance by the young and talented artists.
