Praveen K Shetty has PhD in Intercultural Communications from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. His reserach area focuses on multiculturalism and diversity in India. Further he is a postgraduate in English Literature from Mangalore University, Karnataka. He is a recipient of Jean Monnet Module ‘ Building Bridges: Building Bridges Indo-European Intercultural Dynamics’.

Praveen K Shetty is an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Humanities and Management, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal. His research area is Intercultural Communications focused on multiculturalism and diversity. He teaches Communication Skills in English and Intercultural studies at MIT, Manipal and offers an open elective on Intercultural Communication. He offers a module at Manipal Centre for European Studies, MAHE on topics related to intercultural communication and multiculturalism. He is the coordinator of Centre for Intercultural Studies and Dialogue, MAHE, Manipal. The centre is actively engaged in offering summer programs in culture and society.
